SIP Address does not appear in E-mail Addresses tab in ADUC

I am running LCS 2005 v2.0.5470.0 on a Windows 2003 server.

Here is my problem. When I enable a user for LCS I see them appear on the LCS server and their sip address is correct on the Live Communications tab within Active Directory Users and Computers. However, the sip address DOES NOT get added to the E-Mail Addresses tab as I believe it should. I have seen other installations where this occurs without having to add it manually.

What am I missing?
