We have two LCS2005 Standard Edition servers in our environment. They are standalone servers therefore are not part of a pool.
Server A was rebooted after applying some OS patches. Server B remained up and available during this outage. What we did notice was that some people who are hosted Server B lost connectivity to OC while these patches were being performed on Server A. As soon as Server A was restarted their connectivity to OC was automatically restored.
How could these people lose connectivity to OC when they are not even hosted Server A? Is there any particular reason why these people lost connectivity?
The only thing that comes to mind is that these people *could* have been hosted Server A and had since been moved to Server B. Could this mean that the MSDE database on Server A still contains entries for these people? Would that explain why they lost connectivity? Does anyone have any ideas?
Is there anyway to find out from the MSDE database if they still have an entry on Server A?
