Here is a major hurdle that I have encountered. Here is my environment now.
TEST
-----------------------
Root: hometest.com
Child: kitchentest.com
we have installed an enterprise pool named
lcs2005Beta9 to corptest.jcptest.com successfully
PROD:
-------------------------------------
ROOT: homeprod.com
Child: kitchenprod.com
we try to create an enterprise pool named lcs2005Live but when it goes to validate the Check Forest Prep State it indicates it's checking hometest.com instead of homeprod.com. The Check Domain Prep State states it's looking at kitchenprod.com
What if anything is invalid in my setup, or AD or other? We have done the same schema, forest and domain preps via the same steps on test and production.
Can I run the sql scripts to bypass the GUI tests of AD? cscript.exe //U "\\TESTSRVxyz\e$\LCS 2005 Flats\LCS 2005 Enterprise Edition\Setup\I386\dbsetup\PoolCfgDbSetup.wsf" /dbexists /sqlserver:"exroydev01" /sqlfilepath:"\\TESTSRVxyz\e$\LCS 2005 Flats\LCS 2005 Enterprise Edition\Setup
\I386\dbsetup
