LCS 2005 EE Msngrr 5.1 vs 5.0 Automatic Config signon problem

Have an lcs 2005 EE installation that works when i enter the FQDN or leave the automatic configuration on a 5.0 Messenger client. BUT when I try the automatic configuration on a 5.1 client it fails "HTTP/TCP error". I have the tcp, tls, internal, internaltls SRV record entries in DNS. When i do a ethereal trace on the 5.1 with automatic configruation i see it trying to connect to port 5061. my lcsdiag.exe test shows it fails on port 5061. Should i remove the TLS SRV record entries?
