Here is the scenario,
We had a single LCS 2005 server Ent. running with SQL 2000 on the same server. The pool name was pool2. All users were in this pool, everything worked fine.
I installed the new server, installed LCS2005 Ent, and SQL 2000 on the new server. Created a new pool, called pool00, and activated the new server, and moved all current users to the new pool. All users are able to loggon, everything is working fine.
I go to my old server, and deactivate the old server. Immediately, after that, any user trying to logon was getting "Comunicator server is temporarily unavailable.......Please contact you administrator".
Itried everything, including forcing a replication between DCs and removing and re-adding the user to the new pool, still cant logon. Then, I changed the DNS entry for the old pool name pool02 to point to the same IP as the new pool pool00, and all the users are able to logon again. After that I removed the old pool from the old server, and still users can logon, but the DNS entry is still there for the old pool name.
Why is the client still trying to use the old pool name while trying to logon? Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks
